INTERVIEW | Tyla Hepi looking forward to Dewsbury challenge

The Dons prop feels he is on his way back to his best after 17 months on the sidelines through injury.

Tyla Hepi joined the Dons ahead of the 2024 campaign after spending the previous year and a half sidelined through injury. However, he's feeling sharper with every training session and each match he's involved in.   

"I'm definitely getting back to where I was, I've been working hard and obviously want to get back to where I know I can be."

Looking back at the Barrow game he said, "I think in the first half we struggled, but coming out for the second half we just got back to getting the basics right. Everyone just did their job and did it well and that's what we need to continue doing each week." 

Hepi is a player that looks forward to the physical side of the game and when discussing this weekend's visit of Dewsbury he said, "Their coach likes tough forwards so I guess they'll like to play through the middle and that's fine by us. We'll match them head on and a lot of us look forward to that confrontational battle."
